Cookie Policy
In order to provide the best experiences, we use technologies such as cookies to store and/or access device information. Consenting to these technologies shall allow Amigdala to process data such as browsing behaviour or unique IDs on this site. Not consenting, or withdrawing consent, may adversely affect certain features and functions.
1. Definition
Cookies are small pieces of data files or similar technology such as web beacons, trackers, pixels or similar ("Cookies") that the Application can save on the User's device.
2. Usage
Amigdala uses Cookies to help with functions such as user authentication, remembering user preferences, understanding how users use the Application, and managing and monitoring the effectiveness of Amigdala's marketing in relation to the Application. Amigdala reserves the right to include tracking pixels (e.g. small graphic images) in email messages, newsletters and advertisements to determine whether messages have been opened and whether Users have clicked on links.
Cookies usually include a unique identifier, and Cookies may be dropped by:
- Amigdala,
- an affiliate of Amigdala,
- Amigdala's Partners, or
- partners of Amigdala's Partners.
Amigdala uses Cookies to improve the performance, features and other functionality of the Application.
3. Technical Cookies
These Cookies are necessary to enable Application and its features to work as intended. These Cookies do not track User’s browsing activity on websites or applications that are not related to Application.
User may disable any of these Cookies; but if User does that, various functions of the Application may be unavailable to the User or may not work as intended.
4. Analytics Cookies
Amigdala uses Cookies to help understand how the Users use the Application. By providing Amigdala with information about how the User interacts with the Application, these tools help Amigdala learn how to make the Application experience even better and customize Amigdala’s communications with the User. Analytics Cookies provide us with general information about where in the world the User may be located. If the User does not allow these Cookies, Amigdala shall not be able to understand how the Users use the Application and refine Amigdala’s marketing efforts and provide more relevant information to the User.
5. Profiling Cookies
These Cookies allow Amigdala to evaluate some personal aspects of certain Users, and to trace specific actions or recurring behavioural patterns in the use of the Application in relation to specific, identified or identifiable individuals, so they can be grouped within homogeneous, multi-sized clusters. This enables Amigdala to analyse and predict personal elements, provide Users with customized services beyond what’s necessary for the delivery of the service, and sending targeted advertising messages in line with the preferences they express during their activities in the Application. These serve to convey behavioural advertising, measure the effectiveness of ads, and customize the services offered in line with the User’s monitored behaviour. Profiling Cookies may be placed on the Application by Amigdala’s third party partners to profile Users interests and show Users relevant ads.
When User uses the Application, Amigdala collects a unique ad tracking identifier from User’s device. These identifiers are unique to User’s device, but the User can reset them or limit their use through User’s device settings. These identifiers do not contain Users name or email address. Amigdala uses these ad tracking identifiers together with Amigdala’s analytics technologies in order to inform Amigdala’s targeted advertising initiatives.
Amigdala uses and contracts with third-party advertising networks that use Cookies to collect information about User’s visits to and actions on certain pages of the Application, User’s use of the Application, and whether User open certain emails Amigdala sends to the User. Amigdala does this in order to serve advertisements for relevant Amigdala products and services to the User and to measure the performance of Amigdala’s messages.
6. Cookie Removal
The User may, at any time, give or withdraw the User’s consent to the use of the profiling cookies by accessing the cookie consent tool accessible from the Application. The User may also configure User’s browser to accept Cookies, reject Cookies, or notify the User when a Cookie is being used.
If the User does not want to receive tracking pixels in emails Amigdala sends to the User, the User shall need to disable HTML images in User’s email client, but that may affect User’s ability to view images in other email that the User receives.
Most Internet browsers may be set to disable the use of Cookies. However, without Cookies (or in case of disabling Cookies by the User), certain features and/or functionalities of the Application may become unavailable, or the User may not be able to access the features, content and functionality of the Application properly or at all.
